Custom Soundproofing Blanket for Roban UH-1 Huey 800 Size Helicopter

These are very nice sound proofing blankets for the UH-1 Series. Mine are in the UH-1N from Roban. Fit is extremely good and will make a great addition to scale detail.

If you have ever been a crew chief on a military helicopter - soundproofing is the bane of your existence, but necessary for all static displays and hiding all the bells and whistles that make heli flight possible. It has been my longstanding belief that if you are going to model an aircraft as iconic as the UH-1; then you’d damn sure better make it as scale as possible. Tyler’s soundproofing is one of those items. Prior to this being available I’d looked around at JoAnn’s Fabrics and pondered making my own which would require my old Singer skills (who else was taught to sew in junior high HomeEc?), but i clearly don’t have time for that! Ain’t nobody got time for that! The diamond stitch is scale to the real Huey and has just the right fit to be believable. I installed mine with silicone and made a bead about 5mm from the edge…. No soundproofing ever sits flat! I also used car muffler exhaust on my finger tips while installing to dirty it up for extra detail. Refer back to comment of bane of existence!!! You can use pencil lead too if you don’t want your neighbors questioning why you are sticking your fingers into your vehicle exhausts… Scribbling or shading a pencil on to paper and using damp finger tips is a technique of mine to add weathering or “dirtying” items for scale detail. You won’t be disappointed in adding this detail to your project. It’s a bit pricey, but I can assure you that if you combine what it would take for you to make your own and the time to find the materials, you’d choose Tyler’s efforts in a heartbeat. This item will make your aircraft pop - and for me you can’t not go full bore on a Huey. My aim is to make anyone that sees my Huey sitting or flying to be taken back to 67’ and feel that hot jungle air and hear the whine of turbines, smell the jet fuel exhaust and know that you are about to ride into the jaws of hell…. At least for the next 8 minutes - cue in Fortunate Son! Install the soundproofing!!!

These are a perfect fit, adds amazing detail I haven't found anywhere else, easy to install, I used foamtac glue to install. Love it

Looks like the real thing and super easy to install. Definitely give the interior of the Huey a more realistic look. A must have item if you want to dress up and give a better look to the interior of your project.

This is a must have for scale detail in any Bell UH-1 Helicopter models. Tyler Gray models has done it again!
